SGM is a maker of stage and architectural lighting that began in Italy, where it built the Giotto moving heads, the Studio scan controllers, the Newton followspots and the Pilot and Regia lighting consoles found in theatres and rental stocks across southern Europe. After the Italian company failed in 2009 the brand was bought and relaunched in Denmark as SGM Light, which now makes LED fixtures known for their weatherproof housings for outdoor and touring use. The company is independent and based near Aarhus. Founded 1975. Aarhus, Denmark.
