Olympus OM-2

The Olympus OM-2 is a compact 35mm single lens reflex film camera aimed at enthusiast photographers. It introduced through the lens off the film plane metering for automatic exposure, giving accurate flash and ambient light control in a small, lightweight body. It uses the OM lens mount and sits as a step up from the manual OM-1 in Olympus's original OM system range.

On a used one

Check that the electronic shutter and metering system function correctly across shutter speeds, as the TTL auto exposure circuitry can fail with age. Look for light seal deterioration, mirror and prism condition, and ensure the battery compartment is free of corrosion.
