Universal Genève Polerouter

Jewellery, watches and silver

The Polerouter is an automatic wristwatch produced by Universal Genève, originally designed by a young Gerald Genta. It was introduced to mark the first polar flight route by Scandinavian Airlines and became known for its microrotor movement, which allowed a slimmer case. Variants included Date, Sub and other dial configurations across a long production run.

We recognise this model across the auction sites and keep every one we see together.

On a used one

Check the condition and originality of the dial and the microrotor movement, as servicing these calibres requires a specialist. Case and bracelet wear, correct hands and crown, and the presence of original Gay Freres or other period bracelets affect authenticity.
