Porsche 356 B

Sports, leisure, toys and hobby

The Porsche 356 B is the second major evolution of the original 356 sports car, built as coupe, cabriolet and roadster bodies. It uses rear mounted air cooled flat four engines, typically 1.6 litre units in various states of tune including Super and Super 90 versions. It sits between the early 356 A and the later 356 C in the model's development, with raised bumpers and revised styling over its predecessor.

Check for rust in the floorpans, sills, battery box and the front luggage compartment, as these cars suffer badly from corrosion. Verify matching numbers on engine and chassis, originality of trim, and the condition of the convertible top on open cars, since restoration costs can be considerable.
