It uses a turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine of around 1.5 litres, driving the rear wheels in the Coupe and Convertible and the front wheels in the Active Tourer, Gran Tourer and Gran Coupe. It sits below the more powerful 220i and 225i variants in the line-up.
