Citroen 2 CV6 Special

Cars

The Citroen 2CV6 Special is a basic entry level version of the long running 2CV economy car, powered by the 602cc air cooled flat twin engine. It kept the simple canvas roof, minimal trim and lightweight construction that defined the 2CV range, offering low cost motoring rather than comfort or performance. It represents the most stripped back trim level of the later 2CV production.

Built

1970 to 1990

We recognise this model across the auction sites and keep every one we see together.

On a used one

Check for rust in the chassis rails, floor and sills, as these are common weak points on the 2CV. Inspect the canvas roof condition, suspension knife edges and interconnected suspension system for wear, and confirm the engine and gearbox run smoothly without excessive oil leaks.
