Daimler DS420 Limousine

Cars

The Daimler DS420 is a large formal limousine built on a stretched Jaguar platform, powered by Jaguar's 4.2 litre straight six engine. It was used extensively as a state and ceremonial car, for weddings and funerals, and by chauffeur hire firms, often bodied by Vanden Plas. Its long wheelbase and division between driver and passenger compartment mark it as a dedicated formal carriage rather than an executive saloon.

We recognise this model across the auction sites and keep every one we see together.

On a used one

Check the condition of the coachwork and chrome, as rust in the sills, floors and boot can be extensive on these heavy bodies. Verify the history of use, as many served in funeral and wedding fleets, and ensure the interior wood, leather and division glass are intact and original.
