The MGB GT V8 is a two door sports coupe from MG, combining the familiar MGB GT bodyshell with a lightweight Rover derived 3.5 litre V8 engine. It gave the model stronger performance than the four cylinder versions while retaining the GT's practicality as a usable, everyday classic. It sat as the range topping performance derivative within the MGB line.
