CAT 740

Construction and earthmoving machines

The Caterpillar 740 is an articulated dump truck in the large construction and earthmoving class, designed for hauling heavy loads of earth, rock and aggregate over rough haul roads on mining and construction sites. It uses a 6x6 drivetrain for off road traction and sits among Cat's larger articulated haulers. Some examples are converted into water wagons or fuel bowsers for site support work rather than running as standard haulers.
