The Caterpillar 745 is a large articulated dump truck designed for off road hauling of soil, rock and aggregate on construction and mining sites. It has a rated payload capacity of around 41 tons and is powered by a Cat C15 diesel engine driving all six wheels. The chassis is also used as a base for specialist bodies such as water tankers. It sits among Caterpillar's larger articulated truck models, above the 735 and 740 series.
